Cinnamon Peanut Butter Oat Milk Latte
A Favorite Breakfast Comfort Food, All Grown Up
We can always count on Amanda of @drink_alt on Instagram, for creative and delicious latte ideas.
Here she takes one of our favorite comfort foods, peanut butter toast and turns it into a grown up and inventive latte packed with good fats and flavor. Just the smell of it brings us back to our childhood. If you don’t have time to make yourself breakfast, or even a proper peanut butter toast in the morning, this recipe is almost like a coffee and breakfast all in one.
And it’s super yummy…
As Amanda says...
At least once a week I will have peanut butter on toast with a dash of cinnamon as a breakfast or snack, usually with a cup of coffee. A bite of toast, a sip of coffee, repeat. It's really not all that sexy or very exciting, but it's one of those things I eat out of necessity (quick, easy, filling, can be eaten in the car) that it's become a staple food. So, here's ode to cinnamon peanut butter toast with a cup of coffee 🙂
Why it’s even better with Willa’s Oat Milk
And when you make it with Willa’s Oat Milk, you get the creaminess of our Grandmother Willa’s Oat Milk recipe, as well as a hint of oatiness and all the protein and fiber since we use the entire whole grain oat in our oat milk. Plus, we use super clean, organic, non-gmo, vegan ingredients you can recognize. You will never find canola oil in our oat milks.
Swap in any nut butter, or powdered nut butter
For those who prefer almond butter, cashew butter, or something else, this recipe can really work with any nut butter you choose!
In fact, we’d be curious to try it with The Pecan Nut Butter from our friends at Humble Nut Butter!
Make it iced or hot
Amanda’s recipe below provides a method for an iced latte. That said, she said it’s also delicious as a hot drink. Simply steam or heat up milk and omit ice. Melted peanut butter anyone?
