Oat Milk Garlic Tahini Sauce

What is tahini?

A traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean ingredient, tahini is a paste made of ground sesame seeds. Tahini has a delicious rich nutty flavor and is an extremely versatile ingredient in the kitchen. Tahini also has great nutritional value as it is full of healthy fats, antioxidants, protein, and more!

The creaminess from Willa's Oat Milk with our unique whole oat process creates a smooth texture and rich oat-y flavor that compliments the tahini perfectly. Then we add our savory component, garlic, a touch of sweetness with the honey or maple syrup, and tang from the fresh lemon juice to round out this delicious sauce!

This Oat Milk Garlic Tahini Sauce is super versatile and can be used in as many ways as you can imagine! In this recipe, we drizzled it on some delicious oven-roasted carrots, but there are so many other ways to enjoy it. Use it as a dipping sauce for any of your favorite vegetables or meats, as a salad dressing, in a wrap, or drizzled on falafel or a Mediterranean bowl!

Oat Milk Garlic Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

Oat Milk Garlic Tahini Sauce:
3 tbsp Seed + Mill tahini
3 tbsp Willa’s Unsweetened Oat Milk
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Juice of small lemon
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste


Roasted Carrots:
5 large carrots
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
(optional) handful of parsley

Instructions

1. For the Oat Milk Garlic Tahini Sauce, place all ingredients in a bowl and mix until fully combined
2. Wash then cut carrots lengthwise
Massage with extra virgin olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste
Place in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes or until golden brown
Let carrots cool for 10 minutes before drizzling them with the tahini garlic sauce. Sprinkle with parsley and enjoy!
