Oat Milk Peppermint Matcha from Dogwood Coffee
Our friends at Dogwood Coffee in Northeast Minneapolis never cease to amaze us. They knock everything they do out of the park from their beans, to their cafe spaces, to their barista skills, and recipes. Each season they come out with a variety of creative and surprising new twists on classics.
When it comes to something to sooth the mind body, soul AND tastebuds, our minds go straight to matcha. The health benefits of matcha abound! We could go on and on about all the wonderful reasons to drink it. But today, we just want to sit back and enjoy this lovely drink on a cold winter day in Minneapolis. Few things are as lovely and as beautifully balanced as a matcha latte. And this one blends matcha’s earthy flavors with a subtle sweetness, as well as a fresh hint of mint. The oat milk gives the strong matcha flavor just the right balance. Not to mention the fact that it’s a wonderful reason to spend time at Dogwood.

Willa’s Oat Milk Peppermint Matcha Latte Recipe (from Dogwood Coffee):
2 g matcha (We love Spirit Tea and Tenzo Tea)
4 oz Willa's Barista Oat Milk
15 g Housemade peppermint syrup
Peppermint Syrup Recipe:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tsp real peppermint extract
Bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan.
Reduce heat to medium; stir 4 to 5 minutes.
Add peppermint extract and remove from heat.
Cool syrup for 5 minutes; pour into glass jar with tight-fitting lid.
