Our Favorite Holiday Cocktail and Mocktail Recipes

Winter is here, which means creamy, nutty cocktails and mocktails are back on the menu. There are few things that pair as well with the winter holidays as well as a milk -based cocktail, but for those who are sensitive to dairy or vegan, these types of cocktails are usually off limits. And if you ask us, cocktails taste better with oat milk than with dairy. They are more refreshing than heavy. And more nutty than milky. The oat milk brings out the flavors of our favorite fall and winter spices.

Below are our five favorite winter oat milk cocktails, which all work beautifully as mocktails without the alcohol.

There’s a warming turmeric based hot toddy, ‘Turms of Endearment’ and a chilled Oat Milk Cafe Olé with reposado tequila.

For those looking to go more retro, we’ve got an Oat Milk White Russian and Oat Milk Brandy Alexander.

Turms of Endearment

This recipe was created by Oliver Holt, bartender from NYC

Turms of Endearment Ingredients:

8oz Willa’s Oat Milk

1tsp Ground turmeric

.25oz Cynar

1oz Scotch

Honey (optional)

Star Anise

Turms of Endearment Instructions:

In a small saucepan, gently heat the oat milk on low heat and add turmeric. Stir constantly so that the turmeric dissolves but the mixture doesn’t burn, about 4-5 minutes.

Take off the heat and stir in Cynar and scotch.

Taste and check for sweetness, and add a drizzle of honey if desired. T

aking care not to spill and dye everything yellow, pour into a heat-proof drinking vessel. Grate star anise over and enjoy immediately.
